We are aclimatising to the 90+ degree heat, watching the sun rise over Mandina Balong and learning how to take a donkeys temperature!
After an evening of catching up with great old friends, James and Lawrence, at Makasutu  and a cold Julbrew (local Gambian beer) or 3 (for some!), we collapsed into bed [...]

2 days to go!
We’ve taken over Wendy & Rodger’s (Florio’s mum and dad) room over the garage as our Gambia Expedition HQ. It looks a little chaotic to say the least but we seem to be making some semblance of progress……..really……

Its now 6 days before we leave for The Gambia and 15 days before we actually put one foot in front of the other – to begin our 700 mile walk around the country. It seems that the time has taken legs and is running off, way ahead of us, and we still have so much [...]

Here’s where we begin and end

Starting on 1st November at one of the Gardens For Life schools in the Makasutu Wildlife Trust (MWT) area, walking counter-clockwise, and returning about 8 weeks later back to Makasutu with good friends, and creators of MWT, Lawrence Williams and James English.
